Middleton Hall is a grade 2 listed building 10 minutes inland from Bamburgh Castle. With its private lakes, walled Victorian gardens and mature woodland it makes the perfect wedding venue. Dora and Ryan made the most of the summer sunshine and held their ceremony outside. Middleton Hall is one of only a handful of venues in Northumberland that offers couples the opportunity to get married outdoors. If you’re lucky enough to hit the 2 days a year in the north east when it’s not raining and you can hold your reception outdoors I would definitely recommend it. Getting married outdoors is not only great for photos but also adds that extra something special to the whole day.
I especially enjoyed this wedding as Dora and Ryan were Beatles fans and so there was a Beatles theme to the table settings. A good tip to engage guests and keep them entertained during downtimes is the inclusion of games. Some form of game will help bring guests who might not know each other together. They will of course keep the kids entertained at the same time. Dora and Ryan’s big day included a range of lawn games which worked brilliantly at this venue.
